World Contraception Day: Addressing the Need for Contraceptive Services in Ethiopia
In Ethiopia, 11.7 million women want to avoid pregnancy—but 4.5 million are left without access to modern contraceptives. This gap is costing lives, with poor and rural women most affected.
At TaYA, we are committed to closing this gap. By expanding youth-friendly health services and advocating for increased funding, we can prevent 90% of unintended pregnancies, save 10,000 mothers, and reduce newborn deaths by 85%.
Empowering Youth: Innovating SRH Information Delivery with Low-Tech Solutions
TaYA, in collaboration with UNESCO, Family Guidance Association of Ethiopia (FGAE), Enderase Youth Association and UNFPA, recently organized a workshop with the aim of developing innovative digital content to deliver sexual and reproductive health (SRH) information to young people using selected low-tech tools.

Meet AfriYAN Ethiopia Chapter Members
Meet the members of the African Youth and Adolescents Network on Population and Development (AfriYAN) Ethiopia Chapter. Currently, a total of 30 youths from around the country have joined this chapter. The executive committee will work to maximize membership and represent the members on the launching day to facilitate their future engagement.
