AfriYAN Ethiopia Chapter Launches This Thursday,
August 29,2024
The African Youth and Adolescents Network on Population and Development (AfriYAN) Ethiopia Chapter will be launched on the upcoming Thursday, 29th August 2024.
This special event is scheduled to take place at Mado Hotel, with the presence of various high-level guests and partner organizations, including H.E W/ro Muna Ahmed, State Minister for Youth Affairs, Mr. Koffi Kouame, UNFPA Resident Representative to Ethiopia, and AfriYAN representatives from the Democratic Republic of Congo and Uganda.
What is AfriYAN
The African Youth and Adolescents Network on Population and Development (AfriYAN) is a youth-led network dedicated to empowering young people across Africa.
It will amplify the voices of youth in national and regional development, AfriYAN focuses on issues related to sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), gender equality, youth empowerment, and meaningful participation in decision-making processes.
Mission
To mobilize and equip African youth with the knowledge, skills, and platforms necessary to influence policies and programs that affect their lives, particularly in the areas of population and development.

A transformed Africa where young people are empowered, their rights are respected, and they actively contribute to sustainable development.
